What's public

Lethe hides who sent, not that a send happened. Knowing exactly what's visible helps you use it well.
| Data | Add funds | Send |
|---|---|---|
| Your wallet | Public | Hidden |
| Link to your deposit | — | Hidden |
| Your private balance | Hidden | Hidden |
| Amount | Public | Public |
| Recipient | — | Public |
| Timing | Public | Public, or randomized with a delay |
What's hidden
Which deposit paid for a send. How much any person holds in the pool. Which notes belong to whom. The proof shows that a valid, unspent note exists in the pool, and nothing else.
What's still visible
Amounts, recipients and times. Those are what someone would use to guess a match, so the Privacy tips are all about making them less useful.
What our server sees
When you send, the relayer sees your IP address and the transaction it's submitting. It doesn't keep logs of IP addresses. It never sees your keys or which notes are yours.
