Privacy tips

Lethe breaks the on-chain link between a deposit and a send, but amounts, recipients and timing are still public. These habits make it harder to guess a match.

Wait before sending

A send straight after a deposit is easy to connect. The longer you wait, and the more people use the pool in between, the better.

Use different amounts

If you deposit 3.7 HYPE and 3.7 HYPE leaves a minute later, anyone can guess they match. Send a different amount from what you deposited, or split it across several sends.

Add funds first

If your private balance is too low, Lethe deposits the difference from your wallet just before the send. For stronger privacy, leave the recipient empty to add funds now, then send later.

Keep the recipient separate

Send to a fresh address that has never touched your main wallet. Sending to your own known address, or moving the funds straight back to it, links them again.

Remember the pool size

Your privacy grows with the number of people using the pool. While the pool is small there are fewer deposits to hide among, so take extra care.

Only sign on the real site

The message you sign creates your private keys. Anyone who gets that signature can spend your balance, so check the address before you sign.
