FAQ

Short answers to the questions people ask most.

Is Lethe custodial?
No. Your keys are made on your device from your own wallet's signature. Lethe can't move, freeze or see your balance.
Can Lethe see my balance?
No. Balances are encrypted on-chain, and only your keys can read them. The server never sees your keys.
What tokens can I use?
The pool holds HYPE. With private swaps you can buy any Elysium token, like OBOL, HELIOS or LETHE, from a fresh wallet.
How long should I wait before sending?
The longer the better. Hours beat minutes, and a delayed send helps even more. See Privacy tips.
What if I lose my wallet?
Your private balance is tied to your wallet's signature. Without the wallet, nobody can recover it.
Why did my send also make a deposit?
Your private balance was lower than the amount, so Lethe added the difference first. Add funds ahead of time to avoid this.
Why are there two transactions?
Each proof spends at most two notes. If your balance is split across many, Lethe merges them first.
The proof is taking a while.
Proofs are made in your browser and usually take a few seconds. Older phones can take longer. Keep the tab open.
What happens if the relayer is down?
Your funds are safe in the pool. You can wait, use another relayer, or call the contract yourself.
Is it audited?
Not yet. The pool has a balance cap to limit risk. See Risks.
Where can I get help?
Join the official Lethe Telegram. Admins never DM you first or ask you to sign anything.
Is Lethe part of Elysium?
No. Lethe is an independent project built on Elysium.
